The Bay of Islands’ newest hub for fishing, dining, and community events
The new BOISC building is scheduled for completion in late 2025, at the Bay of Islands Marina in Port Opua, the primary port of entry to New Zealand for yachties arriving in New Zealand from the Pacific. It is anticipated to become a popular destination for club members, local businesses, and the general public, with its convenience to the marina, as well as a restaurant and bar.
Opua sponsorship opportunities
Your executive is proud to present to you a unique opportunity to assist with the development and completion of our new Opua Club facilities, which will provide an exciting range of services and opportunities for our Club, the local community and the general public.
We would be most grateful for your consideration of our sponsorship options to assist with the fit-out requirements and to secure your name in the Clubs’ legacy.
Naming Rights Sponsor: $50,000
This is the top tier sponsorship with prominent display of your company’s logo on the exterior or interior of the building. We are most grateful for the companies who have agreed to support this to date:

Life Memberships
As the Club has done in the past, we are raising capital for the construction of buildings through the offering of life memberships. The executive recognizes that there are those who want to support the Club and who are passionate about the Club. The objective is to raise money for the BOISC Opua Clubroom construction. There will be 100 non- transferable life memberships available from $6,500 each. All life memberships are GST inclusive.

The Club would acknowledge the purchase of life membership by putting their name on a bait fish. There would be the option of adding a sponsorship on top of this for other fish species.
- purchase life membership and sponsorship of $3,500 – total $10,000 and name on a kingfish
- purchase life membership and sponsorship of $8,500 – total $15,000 and name on a tuna or gannet
- purchase life membership and sponsorship of $13,500 – total $20,000 and name on a marlin
The Club will be commissioning artwork to display names of individuals or businesses who sponsor the building of the clubrooms. The vision is to create a group of fish resembling a school of baitfish (meatball), with marlin, tuna and gannets feeding on them. Each species, as stated above would have a different sponsorship level associated with it.
